2/28/12 Session 1 Reflection How has the last 18 months in the Concordia Graduate Program impacted your work as an educator?
It has made me to step up as a teacher-leader within my school - ex: school rules, discipline, being positive
It has encouraged me to pick up more responsibilities within my school - ex: data, school improvement, public relations
It has encouraged me to reflect more often
How have you grown personally and professionally?
I have become a better listener
I have become more of a learner or "sponge"
I have become a better observer
I have become a visible leader within my school
What are 3 major criticisms from the Concordia Graduate Program?
Less than pertinent online courses - ex: assignments consist of reading chapters and writing papers
Unclear expectations from the university for professors - ex: one course failed to assign a required portfolio II paper and confusion about the seminar paper
Lack of clear communication from the university - ex: financial aid
What do you hope to get from this class?
I hope that this course will culminate my experience and tie together the concepts that I have learned to this date in the program
If your district makes a mistake, try to get out in front of it. Think about making the mistake "public," apologizing, and moving on. Do not sneak around - people will think your hiding something.
